In memory of Joe Harris

Dear Friends,

Sadly I am writing to let you know that Joe Harris died in University College Hospital on Monday 16th February after a long illness. He was general secretary of the National Pensioners Convention from 2001 until 2009, and had been chairman of the Greater London Pensioners Association, and of the Islington Pensioners Forum before that. I thought you might like to have the attached picture of Joe speaking at the Pensioners’ Parliament.

Joe had previously decided along with Letitia, his wife that there would be a quiet family funeral followed by a gathering of family, friends, neighbours and campaigning colleagues to celebrate his life. We will send you the details of this as soon as we have them.
